All of the computers in my classroom are stored along one wall. I like that I can see at a glance what everyone is doing. We currently have two desktop computers, three laptops and two tablet sized computers. I can also borrow a few laptops from other classrooms if they are not being used. We use them for blogging, commenting, gaming etc.
Using Laptops
The laptops are easily moved to other areas of the classroom when that works the best. There are often tech and non-tech things happening simultaneously.
Using the Smartboard
The Smartboard is at our carpeted gathering place. We use it to check Twitter, read other classroom blogs and comments we have received, or see what has been added to one of our wikis. We sometimes use it to play a game together that contributes in some way to our lesson.
